A história da série é focada nos esforços do professor de espanhol Will Schuester, em reerguer o coral da escola fictícia William McKinley em Lima, Ohio, chamado de “Glee Club” (Clube do Coral), que no passado foi motivo de grande orgulho para todos os alunos na instituição. No entanto, a escola não tem recursos para sustentar o coral, que a princípio só atrai os alunos pouco populares e estigmatizados.Glee é uma premiada série de televisão estadunidense do gênero
comédia/musical, produzida pela FOX. É transmitida pelo Canal Fox no Brasil, lançado no dia 18 de Novembro. A série foi criada por Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk e Ian Brennan. Em Portugal a série estreou no canal FOX Life no dia 6 de Dezembro de 2009. Em 11 de Janeiro de 2010, o presidente da Fox, Kevin Reilly, confirmou que Glee foi renovada para uma segunda temporada. Em março de 2010 a série foi adquirida pela Globo.
